We provide advice on a full range of health law issues - from the traditional, such as malpractice avoidance, medical record confidentiality and corporate practice of medicine, to cutting edge issues, such as PSO’s, corporate compliance plans, EMTALA, Stark II, and the federal anti-kickback law.

We form corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. We represent clients in both tax-exempt and taxable financings. We are experienced in the minutia of licensure, relicensure and Medicare and Medicaid certification. We regularly represent healthcare clients in mergers, acquisitions, practice purchases, contracting and joint ventures. We pioneered privatization of governmental hospitals in Arkansas. We have drafted or revised the medical staff bylaws for over a third of the hospitals in the state and are constantly involved in credentialing and corrective action matters. We appear before all healthcare regulatory agencies.

We also offer full-service healthcare litigation services; we have successfully pursued certificate of need challenges, defended antitrust, civil rights, and Title VII actions, challenged the state Medicaid reimbursement methodology, appealed Medicare matters to the Provider Reimbursement Review Board, and handled numerous breach of contract suits, injunctive actions and challenges to administrative rules.
