Gabriel D. Mallard has been an attorney at the Health Law Firm since 2005. Mr. Mallard has advised healthcare clients in fraud and abuse investigations (including compliance with self-disclosure protocols), employment disputes, and contract negotiations. Mr. Mallard also has significant experience in the formation of physician groups and other healthcare entities.
Mr. Mallard has practiced before both state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the United States Office of Inspector General.
Mr. Mallard is a 2005 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law, where he was a member of the Board of Advocates and the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. Mr. Mallard was the winner of the 2002 Board of Advocates Negotiation Competition. In 2004, Mr. Mallard won the Benjamin J. Altheimer Moot Court Competition (in which he was named “Best Oralist”) and was a semi-finalist in the Region IX National Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Mallard is a member of the Pulaski County, Arkansas, and American Bar Associations as well as the American Health Lawyers Association.
Outside of work, Mr. Mallard is actively involved in the Downtown Little Rock Kiwanis Club, where he serves as Secretary. Mr. Mallard is also involved with fund-raising for the Wolfe Street Foundation and Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Envoys. Mr. Mallard is an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, enjoys the outdoors and activities with his three dogs.
